The positive effect of chewing gum on getting rid of obsessive-compulsive disorder :
Chewing gum for weight loss – getting rid of depression and dozens of other problems is recommended, but the latest benefits of chewing gum are for people who suffer from annoying thoughts.
New research from scientists at the University of Reading in the UK suggests that chewing gum can distract the mind from unwanted thoughts.
There are many times when a certain song or thought is repeated in the human mind and it is difficult to get rid of it;
But now researchers have found that chewing gum can be a simple solution to this problem.
Based on these findings, chewing gum can also be used to prevent the recurrence of disturbing memories in the brain.
“Most people may experience this for short periods of time, perhaps a few minutes, and some may have these annoying thoughts for several days, which can make them very tired,”
said Phil Biman, lead author of the study It is sometimes paralyzing.
Participants in the study listened to several songs;
They were then asked not to listen to the songs and to press a key with each reminder.
People who chewed gum pressed these keys much less than others.
Interference with internal speech through a more sophisticated version of the chewing gum method may be widely used, researchers say, but more research is needed to see if it can help fight obsessive-compulsive disorder and similar disorders.
The findings are published in the journal Experimental Psycholog
